TOURNAMENT RULES & REGULATIONS
This tournament is organized to bring bowlers together in Dubai in the spirit of good will and camaraderie and promote the bowling spor
1.Sanction & Playing Rules
The tournament is sanctioned by EBF,ABF,and World Bowling,and playing rules will be in accordance with World standards..
2.Eligibility
This tournament is open to bowlers in good standing with their federations/associations/clubs.
3.Divisions
The tournament will be played in the following divisions:
- Open Division: Men,Women & bowlers from the lower divisions.
- Graded A: Men, women with latest DIBC/KIBC average of 195 and below. Overseas bowlers require an average certificate (195 & below) from their respective Bowling Federations.
- Graded B: Men, women with latest DIBC/KIBC average of 179 and below.
- Graded C: Men, women with latest DIBC/KIBC average of 155 and below.
- Seniors : Men, women minimum 50 years old 1st Jan 2025 or earlier
- Women’s Div.: Open to residents and overseas women players.
- Graded Divisions require minimum 18 games played as of 31 December 2024 in DIBC or KIBC. DIBC averages take
precedence over all averages from other bowling centers.
- The tournament management reserves the right to reclassify UAE Youth bowlers for the Graded Divisions
- Ladies Handicaps: 8 pts. per game in the Open Division and 5 points in the Graded Divisions up to the Final Rounds
- Players in the higher divisions cannot qualify for the lower divisions, and players in the lower divisions must qualify first in their lower division before joining the higher divisions
4. Format
ROUND 1: QUALIFYING ROUND
- Participants must bowl a total of 9 games in blocks of 3 games.
- Each 3-game block will be played on a pair of lanes.
- Lane assignments will be by draw.
- Participants may bowl multiple entries with the highest 3 blocks to count towards the 9-game total
Open Division:
- Top 4 plus next 2 UAE local qualifiers proceed to Round 3.
- Positions 7-27 + 4 UAE locals + 3 from Desperado Squad advance to Round 2.
- Desperado Squad:
- Played over 1 game on a pair of lanes with full entry fee (minimum 8 squads played to qualify), no lane dressing.
- Top 2 bowlers will advance to Round 2
Graded Division A
- Top 13 qualifiers + 4 UAE Residents + Top 3 from Desperado Squad in Graded A division will advance to the Final Round.
Graded Division B
- Top 12 qualifiers + Top 3 from Desperado Squad in Graded B divisions will advance to the Final Round.
Graded C
- Top 12 in the last qualifying day for Graded C will serve as the final standings for winners.
- No stepladder
Seniors Div.:
- Top 8 will advance to the Final Round of 6 games, no stepladder
Women’s Div.:
- Top 8 will advance to the Final Round of 6 games, no stepladder
